Had a killer morning dive from shore.
Saw this guy late, and was blessed on a long shot to the tail. Daryl's tip made the hold to the surface.
On the swim back to the rocks an Ono twice as big as the one on my kui surface swims half moon around my left shoulder 10' under the water and presents me with a perfect shaft placement at the shoulder. 5th and pinned the log is off with me swimming my hardest next to my float holding the 40lb+ fish up trying to eleviate pressure off the drag. Aaand snap, the shoot line goes limp. The mono snaps in the middle, not at the fin or swivel.
The toad swam off with my shaft and slip tip.
