Hope all you guys and your families are safe and you make it through Iselle and Julio without too many difficulties. I guess the big island is getting hit the hardest... Hope Julio continues north.

Thanks for your concern Lou. So far it looks like Iselle totally missed Maui. Kinda bummed cuz I was hoping to at least get some huge surf since work is cancelled and we're not gonna go diving during a hurricane. Oh well, at least everybody is safe, so far...

Yeah we're going next week (big island from sunday to saturday) for our 20th anniversary. Storms will be done, but there may still be cleanup. Went to Cancun for our anniversary 5 years ago and slept on the floor of a hurricane shelter for our anniversary as a hurricane passed through. Still easy for us because we just had a little inconvenience. Some of the residents had their lives affected.

PS did you leave a towel on my boat? If not you, it might have been Chris?

No big surf from Iselle? Are you on the opposite side of the island? I know they were calling for huge waves on the big island. I know that Julio is supposed to pass by the island, but is supposed to maintain its strength better than Iselle. Maybe you'll get some big surf from it? Still hope it passes by.

I don't think so. No big deal if I did, might check with Chris though...

I'm from Puna on the southeast side of the BI. Seems like people are generally ok. I figure everything will be alright when people are posting status updates complaining about a lack of ice. lol

Kona side and Waimea are ok aside from some good rains. It was boogie board weather on the streets. My mom went to work in waikaloa without problems either. Hope everyone else fared well.
