Cheap

Postby Alex Ray » October 12th, 2016, 12:26 pm

So with an 8 mo daughter I've become cheap with regards to food and cooking ($ and time). Made the following with two lobster tails bought with one hall pass, one box of ginger miso broth from TJs costing $3.49, some rehydrated mushrooms for $0.99, a box of udon noodles for $1.99, one bunch of green onions for $0.29, and one jalapeño at $0.08. All told about 20 mins prep and under $7 for two people.

that looks awesome Alex. I buy my miso in the paste form because it's the basis for my fake bisque, a big block of it is like four bucks lol.

I used to do that too, Chris, but had a hard time finding one that didn't have monosodium glutamate as three of its first five ingredients.

Yes, but with less beer, earlier bedtimes, and every morning has a 6am discussion section.
