Hello from NC

Postby Anthony28570 » August 20th, 2020, 2:12 pm

Hello, I'm in North Carolina. I'm new to spearfishing and have a JBL elite magnum.
It came with two 5/8 26" bands but I couldn't pull them back all the way.

I changed the bands to three 9/16 26" bands. I can pull those back but I haven't had the opportunity to try it out in blue water yet but I hope that wasn't a bad decision.

Whoops, sorry for the late welcome. I've seen videos of guys on scuba in the gulf shooting giant AJ's with these JBL elite spearguns and it seems they do fine. They do something like 5-6 100lb AJ's per dive, it's crazy. Looking forward to your own successful reports!

Welcome. Where are you in NC? I spent 4 years at MCAS Cherry Pt and had some great fishing and diving off the Cape Lookout area.
