New Member Torrance/South Bay

I just wanted to say hi. I am new to freediving/spearfishing but not to the water. I am a surfer and diver. I look forward to learning more on this new adventure.

welcome aboard. Get ready to surf less, this sport can be all consuming :)

If you've got any questions feel free to post them up. There's a wealth of knowledge here.

Dive safe and we'll see you on the hill.

Welcome aboard, I'm sure you will learn a ton as time goes on. There are a few great shops nearby you, Mori's shop is in carson, Neptonics in Long Beach, Sturgill in Torrance, and Spear America in Irvine.

Much thanks to everyone. So far surfing takes priority but looks like a lull about to happen so I plan on getting back to diving. :-)

A lot of surf buddies got into diving after getting the lobster bug. Season is coming up. Get good gear and dive when it's flat. I think surfing is a perfect compliment to diving. Like surfing, get good equipment. Diving in your 4/3 won't cut it for long. As you progress get better gear. It can be done with churchills and 3 prong but I'm guessing you're past that. Be safe.
