New Freediving and Spearing Book

Postby Jeff Bonisa » November 17th, 2019, 4:56 pm

Aloha,

I do not quite recall how but somewhere in my browsing time I ran across this book. I signed up to part of a list called the Freedive Wire in which information about spearing, training and all sorts of matters related to it are supposedly discussed. It also included a sample of the book itself.

I am wondering if anyone has any info on it or experience with it in general?

I do not, but am going to order a copy. I'll repost once I have read it.

I read it. The one big takeaway that I got out of it was about hypoxic cardio. His go to was doing squats on breath hold. After talking to a national record holding freediver talk about his training, the concept of exercise on breath hold was definitely prevalent. He was using an under desk stationary bike while lying on his back and watching tv for a while, but upgraded to an airdyne, if memory serves me correctly.
